If I Could Buy Anything Under $1,000...

You know you're a nerd awesome when the answer to that question is the Omano OM157 Semi Plan Compound Microscope with Trinocular and 10MP Microscope Camera:

Not only that, but you spend your break time in between study sessions researching microscopes, wondering how you might save up that much money while going through med school... Not to mention convincing Wife to let you buy it...

It's not much of a secret that simulated lab times aren't my favorite things in the world - especially when we're just looking at digitized specimens of pre-prepared slides. It's another thing entirely when I can scrape a sample off of my own personal Waldeyer's Ring, slap the slime onto a slide and look at what microscopic critters are killing time around my epiglottis. While the above picture doesn't have the camera attached as shown, that would be the icing on the cake - to be able to take a picture of the microscopic stuff that I might find - say, in a swab off of Wife's nasal mucosa in the middle of a sinus infection - and toss a picture or video of the proliferating bacteria up on here for you all to enjoy. Now, wouldn't that be fun?

Ah well, maybe someday... For now, it's back to the grind of the Reproductive System. Friday was the last Immunology Exam (check out my wicked awesome Immunology Tables) I know what you're all thinking, so I'll just say it out loud: Hooray, Leydig Cells! Right? Right?

Right.
