My Story

I'm 25 26 27 28 years old, married, don't have any kids yet (check back after medical school), and am a member of the class of 2016 at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. I graduated from Hope College in 2007 with a degree in Spanish and Physics with a Math minor. I got married before going back to school for premed requirements in 2009. I was also working full-time in Human Resources during that time. I did this for four semesters before taking the MCAT and beginning the application process during the summer of 2011, finishing up a Chemistry major and Biochemistry requirements in the '11-'12 academic year.

In my free time, I love reading, running, kickin' it with friends, backpacking/camping, inventing things, photography, discovering new technology, playing music (and movies and video games), spending time with my wife (Boggle is our favorite game), training my bilingual dog, snowboarding, and anything to do with languages and travel. I like kettle-cooked chips and Easter Eggs, and speak English, Spanish and broken German. I can't sing worth anything and my mouth itches when I eat bananas.  (hooray for chitin).
